“Moon” director has new film

Duncan Jones directed the much-lauded sci-fi tale Moon and he already has a follow-up project starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Source Code.

Though I was disappointed that Moon couldn’t be more original, Jones obviously knows how to tell a story well and this trailer looks pretty promising (Quantum Leap meets Groundhog Day with some 12 Monkeys spicing).  Along with Gareth Edwards (Monsters) and Neill Blomkamp (District 9) it’s blooming into a good decade sci-fi films with a small enough budget to do intriguing things (aka, tell sci-fi dramas, not Armageddon type action fests).  Now if only Alfonso Cuarón (Children of Men) could get his casting down for Gravity
