*The Dry Land drops some PTSD knowledge
*Soul Boy is a lot of fun
*Restrepo is mildly depressing.

Since the horrible trio of films I watched on Tuesday, I had been on a streak of bad or mediocre films. Which is why yesterday’s screenings were a major win in this festival conflict. I would recommend all three of films listed above, though for different reasons and moods. It was pure happenstance that I ended up watching a documentary about U.S. military in Afghanistan (Restrepo) and the effects of PTSD (The Dry Land). Soul Boy broke up what would have otherwise been a super depressing day of screenings.
